Predicate adjectives worksheets are key to understanding the proper usage of such words. The term "predicate adjectives" is very intimidating, even for those most interested in and knowledgable about the English language. A predicate adjective is one that is linked to the noun by a verb (generally be, is, was), as opposed to being directly connected to the noun. Direct students to connect the picture with the correct sentences by drawing a line. Then the students can read the sentences to get a feel for the words.
