WEIGHT PLATE A typically disk-shaped device with a perforation in the centre for being united with a weight bar and thus adding mass to it to enable weightlifting exercises (gradated according to a standard measurement scale for mass if the implement is commercially provided ; sometimes also used alone for exercises)
